The untold tale of Reagan Gorbachev is a violent one, which probably explains why it's been systematically wiped from history. It turns out that President Reagan of the United States and President Mikhail Gorbachev of the former Soviet Union were kidnapped by an extremist group. The two rivals set aside their differences to form an unlikely union with the intent of escaping their captivity, though they eventually came to add 'foiling a plot that would destroy the world' to the to-do list.
The game tells this story by giving you control of both of the aforementioned world leaders. You can switch between them at any time, or learn about the event in co-op with a second player. Reagan prefers to handle things with a bit of American brute force, wielding a samurai sword. He can also pick locks. Gorbachev is the sneaky one with his use of poison darts and computer hacking skills. Using the unique abilities of both characters is the only way to survive.
Due to the top-down view and copious amounts of murder, it feels a bit like Hotline Miami in some ways. It's not quite as graphic or bloody -- Team2Bit clearly had educating children in mind here -- but there's small chance anyone you come across in this game whose name isn't in the title is going to be alive by the end of it.
