We discover that Molecats aren’t the brightest creatures in this IGP First Look, but you’d better be if you intend to help them in this tile-spinning puzzler.

Molecats love mushrooms (or at least, they’re told told). They’re definitely a motivated lot, as they just beeline for the nearest cave system and start looking for the delicious, potentially-hallucinogenic things. Trouble is, the creatures aren’t terribly bright, and will just march blindly down whatever path they’re on. The caves aren’t laid out for you to easily walk through, either. To keep these poor critters from starving as they wander the same hall for eternity, you need to rotate the tiles that make up the cave system so that they can get through.

Except, there are locked doors. Winding hallways that connect in odd ways. Levers to hit. Friends to find who are just as clueless. Items to pick up. Mushrooms to grab and munch on. You have to navigate each level, finding the right way to twist each tile in order to guide their path to all of the goodies and important mechanisms. This can involve some deep thinking as you try to examine the whole level, imagining the varied paths in your mind. And all while this goofy Molecat continually wanders, typically causing some trouble you need to fix.

Molecats looks simple on the surface, but offers some deep, thoughtful puzzle solving alongside its cute artwork and delightfully chill, ridiculous soundtrack.

Running a bathhouse is hard work, especially when your clients range from everyday to extraordinary.

Take on these unique challenges of catering to their specific needs, all while keeping your bathhouse clean and profitable. Onsen Master will test your ability to be hospitable, and if you fail, you’ll land in hot water!

Players will assume the role of Mu, a young and eager Onsen apprentice. Recently, their sensei, the Onsen Master, has disappeared and left Mu to take their place. And they’ve got their work cut out for them. Mu will be in charge of everything. You will have to be timely in greeting their guests, identifying their needs, mixing the proper healing ingredients, and applying it to the bath they will occupy. This is a lot to take care of, and if you’re not quick enough, your customers will leave (and take your potential reward with them). You’ll also have to make sure to keep every bath spic and span, as well as clean up spills on the floor.

Once you’ve gotten the hang of this complicated process, you may encounter some rather… challenging clients. Downright supernatural. You will encounter Yokai, mischievous spirits from Japanese folklore. They want to be pampered too, after all. It’s up to you to follow your normal process, all while dealing with their characteristics – like a water-based Yokai dripping all over your Onsen.

Proving your prowess in the first area will allow you to travel across the island of Izajima and visit other Onsens that have their own challenges. You’ll be able to meet the island locals and help restore Onsens to their former glory.

Penganalisis ekonomi memberi amaran bahawa masa hadapan Malaysia akan menjadi tidak menentu sekiranya terus bergelut dan berantakan dengan isu perkauman.

Menurut penganalisis pasaran, Jameson Tan, perdebatan terbaharu perkauman di negara ini yang melabelkan kaum Cina sebagai ‘pendatang’, ‘masyarakat tidak berguna’ ataupun ‘kumpulan yang tamakkan kuasa’ akan mengurangkan daya saing negara.

Katanya, pesaing Malaysia seperti Indonesia, Vietnam atau Thailand hari ini bergerak sebagai satu bangsa, satu negara. Mereka ‘buta’ kaum dan mengutamakan nilai ekonomi seseorang berbanding kaumnya.

“Jika situasi di Malaysia terus dibelenggu oleh isu-isu kaum maka tidak lama lagi negara-negara lain di ASEAN akan mendahului Malaysia dalam pelbagai bidang terutama sektor perindustrian.

“Sekarang pun Vietnam, Thailand dan Indonesia sedang mengorak langkah besar untuk maju ke depan dan Malaysia akan tenggelam di belakang kalau isu-isu rasis menjadi keutamaan di sini.

“Ramai pelabur asing kini berpendapat situasi yang tidak stabil ini akan menjejaskan iklim pelaburan negara yang ketika ini bukanlah destinasi pelaburan yang diminati ramai di antara negara-negara ASEAN,” katanya.

Jameson menyatakan kekesalannya walaupun Pilihanraya Umum Ke-14 (PRU14) sudah selesai lebih setahun namun isu perkauman dan retorik pemimpin politik seolah-olah membayangkan pilihan raya akan mengambil tempat.

“Hari-hari ada saja isu perkauman yang timbul. Orang yang menyebarkan ideologi kebencian diberi perlindungan dan kumpulan-kumpulan rasis dibiarkan menyebarkan kebencian diantara kaum.

“Ini memberi gambaran kepada masyarakat antarabangsa Malaysia bukanlah satu negara di mana rakyat hidup dalam semangat harmoni dan bersatu-padu.

“Imej Malaysia yang sebegini amat sukar dikikis selagi wujudnya banyak kumpulan yang rasis atau puak-puak yang asyik menakut-nakutkan kaum mereka telah hilang kuasa walhal perkara itu tidak berlaku.

“Kerajaan PH patut ambil tindakan tegas dan puak rasis atau sesiapa yang mengungkitkan sentimen perkauman wajar dijatuhkan hukuman penjara yang setimpal kerana mereka menjejaskan keharmonian dan ekonomi negara,” kata Jameson lagi. – RF8 Media

Pelan peralihan kuasa di antara Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad dan Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yang masih belum jelas merunsingkan komuniti perniagaan dan pelabur.

Ini diakui Presiden Dewan Perniagaan dan Industri Antarabangsa Malaysia (MICCI), Datuk Tan Cheng Kiat yang mendakwa kebimbangan itu berasas kerana polisi negara pasti akan berubah setiap kali pemimpin bertukar.

Gobalanrishnan, Timbalan Presiden Dewan Perniagaan dan Industri Cina Malaysia (ACCCIM), Tan Sri Lim Kuang Sia turut bersetuju ‘perang politik’ di negara ini adalah keterlaluan sehingga menjejaskan pertumbuhan ekonomi.

“Kami berharap perang politik di Malaysia dihentikan kerana ianya tidak berkesudahan. Kami komuniti perniagaan amat berharap kerajaan melakukan perubahan untuk membuka jalan kepada kami untuk berniaga,” kata Gobalanrishnan.

Malah Presiden Dewan Perniagaan dan Industri Kebangsaan Malaysia (NCCIM), Tan Sri Ter Leong Yap yang diminta Mustapa naik ke pentas untuk berkongsi pandangannya terhadap isu tersebut memberi contoh apa yang berlaku di Indonesia selepas Pilihan Raya Umum (PEMILU) berakhir beberapa bulan lalu.

Katanya, Presiden Joko Widodo dan pencabarnya, Prabowo Subianto sanggup bertemu dan bersetuju melupakan pertelagahan seterusnya menumpukan kepada pembangunan negara mereka.

“Kita sepatutnya melupakan perbezaan politik dan bekerjasama untuk memberi fokus kepada perkara yang lebih penting.

“Kita boleh tunggu tiga atau empat tahun lagi untuk bercakap soal politik kerana sekarang adalah masanya untuk fokus kepada pertumbuhan ekonomi dan langkah-langkah untuk menyelesaikan pelbagai isu yang masih belum selesai sejak sekian lama.

“Tambahan pula, tekanan luaran seperti perkembangan perlahan ekonomi global dan perang perdagangan menyebabkan pertumbuhan ekonomi dalam negara juga terjejas,” tegasnya. Forum Ekonomi Kebangsaan 2019 dianjurkan oleh NCCIM.-MalaysiaGazette

Pick a species of crab, put weapons in their claws, and fight it out against another giant hard-shelled sea beast in Fight Crab.

For whatever reason, the gods of this world have granted ultimate strength and intelligence to these colossal crabs. Naturally, they have decided to use those gifts to fight each other using swords, chains, drills, lightsabers, and anything else that’s pointy and painful. You’ve currently got forty-one different weapons you can arm these crabs with, resulting in an absurd, varied game of sea life combat.

You’re not out to kill the other crab or knock them out, though. These creatures have been given far too much power for that to work. The only way to win is to knock your foe on their back. This is due to a decree that any crab who gets flipped gets cooked. So, if you topple your foe, they have to hop in the pot and become the next meal. It’s a strange rule, but who are we to judge?

With its variety of weapons and species of crab (you’re learning as you play!), you’ll find a lot of variety in your crabby fights even though the game is still in Early Access. More features might possibly come along as the game works toward its full release, but even now, the game offers a highly silly good time. Being able to fight with a lightsaber-wielding crab is kind of worth it all on its own, really.

Dua ahli Parlimen Pakatan Harapan (PH) bersetuju dengan penilaian pakar startegi PPBM Rais Hussein bahawa gabungan kerajaan itu akan kalah sekiranya pilihan raya umum diadakan sekarang dengan berkata, ini kerana PH gagal menunaikan janjinya dan melaksanakan pembaharuan asasi. 

Ahli Parlimen DAP Klang Charles Santiago berkata, keyakinan orang awam kepada kerajaan merudum walaupun PH berjanji untuk mewujudkan sebuah “Malaysia baru”.

“Kita bercakap tentang pilihan raya 2023 walaupun kita belum menunaikan manifesto kita sebelum ini sepenuhnya,” katanya dengan merujuk kepada beberapa bolak-balik berkait dasar dan apa yang disifatkannya sebagai “peralihan PM yang tersangkut dalam lumpur”.

Beliau juga berkata, kelihatan kurangnya fokus untuk merancakkan ekonomi, terutama dari sudut membantu usahawan kecil dan sederhana.

“Rakyat umumnya berasa kita tidak menunaikan janji, selain terjebak dalam isu sampingan seperti kontroversi Dr Zakir Naik dan khat.

“Isu sampingan ini memintas agenda nasional kerana isu yang sepatutnya diutamakan tidak ditangani,” katanya.

Dalam satu forum semalam, Rais berkata, Umno dan PAS akan “menang mudah” jika pilihan raya diadakan sekarang.

Katanya, pemimpin PH tidak lagi mendengar suara rakyat dan gabungan politik itu perlu memandang serius manifestonya bagi mendapat kepercayaan umum.

Santiago berkata, isu mendesak yang perlu ditangani termasuklah isu kehidupan harian seperti gaji, pengangguran dan kos hidup.

Beliau mengingatkan bahawa kelas menengah kini “letih” dengan PH dan mendesak pemimpin kerajaan berubah sikap sementara mereka masih berkesempatan berbuat demikian.

Mengambil maklum bahawa lebih ramai pengundi muda dijangka mengambil bahagian dalam pilihan raya akan datang, Santiago berkata, “mereka (pengundi muda) akan mengundi pihak yang melindungi kepentingan mereka.”

Bagaimanapun katanya, sebahagian besar undi tersebut akan diraih “pihak ke-3” di luar PAS dan Umno, jika pihak itu muncul menjelang pilihan raya akan datang.

Ahli Parlimen PKR Subang, Wong Chen juga berkata, PH berdepan risiko hilang kuasa, tetapi tidak bersetuju bahawa PAS dan Umno akan menang mudah.

Katanya, 2 parti pembangkang itu berkemungkinan merampas beberapa kerusi daripada PH, tetapi mempersoalkan kemampuan mereka untuk bekerjasama sebagai satu kekuatan tunggal.

“Pilihan raya sekarang lebih berkemungkinan menghasilkan Parlimen tergantung tanpa pemenang, tetapi akan menyaksikan ‘jual-beli’ politik yang panas untuk membentuk kerajaan,” katanya kepada FMT.

Wong Chen juga bercakap tentang kegagalan PH melaksanakan “pembaharuan yang sistematik dan asasi” dan apa yang disifatkannya sebagai “masalah yang dibuat sendiri”.

Beliau berkata, usaha untuk memecahkan pemusatan kuasa perdana menteri, memulihkan kebebasan Parlimen dan menyediakan lebih banyak semak dan imbang akan membantu Malaysia beralih kepada sebuah sistem lebih demokratik.

“Sistem yang lebih demokratik akan merangsang pertumbuhan ekonomi dan inovasi, dan berikutan itu memastikan PH mendapat penggal ke-2.”

Wong Chin Huat dari Institut Jeffrey Cheah mengenai Asia Tenggara bersetuju bahawa PH mungkin hilang kuasa, tetapi adalah disebabkan penurunan peratus keluar mengundi, bukan kerana peralihan sokongan pengundi kepada pembangkang.

Beliau berkata, sekiranya PH kalah dalam pilihan raya esok, ia bukanlah disebabkan PAS dan Umno menawarkan alternatif lebih baik.

“Ramai pengundi yang kecewa dengan ahli politik daripada kedua-dua pihak,” katanya.

Wong berkata, pertambahan pengundi baru berikutan langkah mengurangkan umur pengudi daripada 21 kepada 18 berpotensi menatijahkan apa-apa juga keputusan.

Katanya, oleh sebab Malaysia mengamalkan sistem “first-past-the-post”, perubahan kecil undi boleh menghasilkan perubahan kerusi yang drastik.

Jika ini berlaku kata beliau, tidak ada parti komponen PH yang akan terkecuali.

“Setakat 2 bulan lepas, DAP mungkin (boleh bertahan). Tetapi hari ini, DAP juga terdedah kepada risiko,” katanya dengan mengambil kontroversi khat dan isu berkaitan Lynas Corp sebagai contoh.

Pakatan Harapan (PH) perlu fokus kepada lima perkara yang menjadi isu utama dalam negara, sekiranya parti pemerintah itu mahu mengekalkan kedudukannya sebagai kerajaan pada Pilihan Raya Umum (PRU) ke-15 kelak.

Ketua Dasar dan Strategi Bersatu, Datuk Dr Rais Hussin Mohamed Ariff berkata lima perkara iaitu kos sara hidup, kualiti kehidupan, peluang pekerjaan, perumahan mampu milik dan kos penjagaan kesihatan dilihat masih tidak ditangani dengan baik seperti yang diharapkan rakyat setakat ini.

“Lima perkara perlu ditangani. Misalnya, kos sara hidup hanya sedikit bertambah baik, ini antara janji besar yang kita buat dalam manifesto. Bagi pengundi muda, mereka mahukan pekerjaan, tetapi jumlah pengangguran dalam kalangan belia di tahap paling tinggi sekarang...ini fakta.

“Ini adalah lima teras, jika kerajaan PH ingin menjadi kerajaan seterusnya mereka perlu tangani perkara ini,” katanya ketika menjadi anggota panel seminar bertajuk “Apakah Pilihan Raya Kecil Meramalkan Keputusan PRU15?” yang diadakan di Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM), di sini semalam.

Turut menjadi anggota panel adalah Ahli Parlimen Rembau, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar.

Seminar separuh hari itu menyediakan platform untuk penyelidik mentafsir keputusan pilihan raya kecil (PRK) pasca PRU ke-14 termasuk peranan parti politik, sumbangan media dan implikasi terhadap masa hadapan politik negara.

Dalam pada itu, Khairy yang juga bekas Ketua Pemuda Umno, berpendapat keputusan PRK sebelum ini bukan penentu kemenangan mahupun kekalahan sesebuah parti politik, sebaliknya PRK tersebut akan membentuk hala tuju PRU akan datang lapor MMO

In Speaking Simulator, you are an AI who is trying to blend in with the humans and have normal, functioning conversations with them.

At Gamescom, I got the chance to try out Speaking Simulator, where I malfunctioned to the point of the humans finding me out. This game is simply hilarious, yet super challenging. As an AI, you’ll need to speak to one of your office colleagues. Speaking, you’d think, is a simple task. It, however, is not for an AI. Looking at the screen, you need to move your mouth out to be bigger or wider, and use your tongue to press buttons in your mouth that match the words you want to say.

If you take too long to say the next word, you’ll gain suspicion and start to malfunction. Everything on the screen is controlled with your mouse, so moving out your mouth and then clicking buttons takes place on two different sections of the screen. You need to keep an eye on these sections and the timer if you want to keep the humans fooled. Malfunctions look very much like your robot body is being destroyed – your eyebrow starts to spark, your ear pops out on a spring; clearly you aren’t quite human.

I only got to check out the first level of the game, but speaking with the developer, this was just the start. Soon, you’ll have to keep eye contact and move much more around your face if you want to pass as a real human. You’ll even end up talking to more people you know from your very regular human life. Speaking Simulator is one of those super silly games to watch that becomes a captivating challenge when you take the lead.

Speaking Simulator is projected to release soon, but in the meantime, you can add it to your Steam Wishlist.

How many times have you booted up a game and followed the prophecy of the hero? Listened to your elders? Banished Evil without batting an eye?

Mable & The Wood, a Metroidvania with a twist, gives you the option to choose between this well-traveled route or exploring a new, more challenging path.

You play as Mabel, the prophesied hero, instructed to travel across treacherous paths to slay giant beasts and claim their form. The problem is that Mabel can’t carry her sword and has only the strength to drag it. She’ll instead have to use her special powers, awarded for being the chosen one, to transform into slayed beasts. She can then use their abilities to carve her way forward. Perhaps you are hindered by a wall of dirt. You can harness the power of a mole to tunnel through the obstacle. There are many powers to uncover, but Mabel is weak so, in order to generate more energy to use these powers, you must kill more monsters.

But what if you don’t want to kill them? You can turn your back on the cult that instructed you to do so. This is an option, but it will make the game play very differently. Without Mabel’s powers, you’ll have to think very carefully as to how to approach this game. You’ll need to be strategic, nimble (with a heavy sword), and pacifistic. You can clear this game without harming a soul, but it won’t be easy.

With these two very different paths, you will be given different endings depending on how you want to take your journey. Perhaps you will learn much more of the dying world by investigating the prophecy, or maybe the prophecy was right all along and you are destined to kill?

Will you become the monster or save them?

Some no-good hooligan has stolen Ronnie Fists’ arm bones, and you’re going to slap the faces off of anyone who tries to stop you from getting them back.

You and What ARMy? tries to capture the vibe of 70’s martial arts movies with an array of cheesy one-liners and its endless array of patient, but dopey bad guys lining up to get smacked. You’ll have to use your wobbly limbs to bash your way through thugs and the breakable environments if you’re to hope to get your bones back.

Honestly, though…this boneless thing is kinda working in Ronnie’s favor. Not only is flailing their arms hilarious, but it’s also extremely effective at taking down reams of martial arts goons. I’m not honestly seeing much of a downside to the whole ‘no bones’ thing.

If you could use a laugh (and maybe need to vent by slapping some jerks silly), you’ll want to go give You and What ARMy? a look.

Beberapa ahli PKR Kapar membuat laporan polis terhadap Dr Mahathir Mohamad kerana menggunakan perkataan “paria” ketika mengulas isu Lynas Corporation.

Dalam laporan V Maneyvannan di Balai Polis Sungai Kapar yang dilihat FMT, beliau membidas perdana menteri menggunakan perkataan itu yang didakwa mengguris hati masyarakat India.

Maneyvannan bersama 3 individu lain menuntut Mahathir memohon maaf secara terbuka kepada semua rakyat Malaysia dan menggesa ketua polis negara serta Kementerian Dalam Negeri mengambil tindakan sewajarnya dengan segera.

Maneyvannan ketika dihubungi berkata, Mahathir tidak sepatutnya menggunakan perkataan itu.

“Kerana jika beliau berbuat demikian, kumpulan lain akan menggunakannya juga,” katanya yang tahu perkataan itu dalam kamus merujuk kepada golongan dipinggirkan.

Maneyvannan turut mendakwa penggunaan perkataan itu membayangkan Malaysia masih mengamalkan sistem kasta yang mencadangkan “paria” sama seperti “dalit”, iaitu golongan terendah dalam sistem kasta di India.

“Rakyat Malaysia mahu masyarakat tanpa kasta,” katanya.

Semalam, Mahathir dilaporkan berkata, Lynas Corporation tidak boleh diminta keluar dari negara ini “seperti paria” kerana ia akan merosakkan pelaburan masa depan di Malaysia.

“Jika kita layan Lynas seperti paria dan minta mereka meninggalkan negara ini, kita tidak akan mendapat orang lain untuk datang dan melabur,” katanya ketika ditanya dakwaan pengkritik yang lesen operasi syarikat nadir bumi itu diperbaharui kerana hubungan rapatnya dengan kerajaan Jepun.

KUALA LUMPUR, 28 Ogos — Perbicaraan kes berprofil tinggi yang ditunggu-tunggu, 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) membabitkan Datuk Seri Najib Razak bermula hari ini dengan pihak pendakwaan dijangka memanggil enam saksi.

Perbicaraan akan didengar di hadapan Hakim Mahkamah tinggi Collin Lawrence Sequerah pada 9.30 pagi.

Timbalan Pendakwa Raya (DPP) Ahmad Akram Gharib ketika ditanya perbicaraan hari ini berkata pihak pendakwaan akan memulakan kes dengan bekas Hakim Mahkamah Persekutuan Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram yang dilantik sebagai Timbalan Pendakwa Raya Kanan dalam kes itu, membacakan kenyataan pembukaan diikuti memanggil saksi pertama.

Beliau berkata saksi yang akan dipanggil memberi keterangan hari ini adalah pegawai pentadbiran dari Bahagian Hal Ehwal Ahli Parlimen Malaysia serta pegawai dari Pejabat Perdana Menteri.

Ahmad Akram berkata beliau akan mengendalikan tiga saksi manakala seorang lagi DPP akan mengendalikan saksi yang lain.

Bekas perdana menteri itu menghadapi empat pertuduhan menggunakan kedudukannya untuk memperoleh suapan berjumlah RM2.3 bilion dalam dana 1MDB dan 21 pertuduhan pengubahan wang haram membabitkan jumlah wang yang sama.

Najib, 66, berdepan empat tuduhan rasuah yang didakwa dilakukan di Cawangan AmIslamic Bank Berhad, Jalan Raja Chulan, Bukit Ceylon di sini antara 24 Feb 2011 dan 19 Dis 2014.

Beliau dituduh mengikut Seksyen 23 (1) Akta Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) dan boleh dihukum di bawah Seksyen 24 (1) undang-undang yang sama.

Bekas perdana menteri itu boleh dikenakan hukuman penjara sehingga 20 tahun dan didenda sehingga lima kali ganda nilai suapan atau RM10,000, yang mana lebih tinggi, jika sabit kesalahan.

Bagi 21 pertuduhan pengubahan wang haram, Najib didakwa melakukan kesalahan itu di bank yang sama antara 22 Mac 2013 dan 30 Ogos 2013.

Kesemua pertuduhan itu mengikut Seksyen 4(1)(a) Akta Pencegahan Pengubahan wang haram dan Pencegahan Pembiayaan Keganasan (AMLATFA) 2001, yang memperuntukkan hukuman denda maksimum RM5 juta dan penjara selama tempoh tidak melebihi lima tahun, atau kedua-duanya, jika sabit kesalahan.

Sebelum ini, Hakim Sequerah menetapkan 19 hingga 29 Ogos; sepanjang bulan September dan Oktober kecuali hari Jumaat; dan dua minggu pertama pada bulan November untuk mendengar perbicaraan kes 1MDB Najib. — Bernama

This week’s IGP First Look heads to a realm where witches and nuns just aren’t getting along, and the only way to solve their squabbles is with swords. And fancy incense. But not pants.

In Minoria, a new title from Momodora series developer Bombservice, Sister Semilla is out to purify witches and save princesses, and she was in such a hurry that she didn’t seem to remember to bring pants. She’s got far too much work to do in cutting down strange beasts and dangerous spellcasters, though. Combat in the first few areas was definitely satisfying, with combos coming easily for those who love a good session of button mashing.

It almost felt a little too easy as I cut enemies down, but then I discovered that our poor nun dies from two or three hits, adding a great deal of tension to a fight. You can go from winning to dead so quickly that every instant feels fright with unease, yet also the excitement of a good button-slamming action game. It’s a wonderful mixture.

The game features an intriguing story right from the start as well, starting right in with some visually-striking characters chatting about curses and purification. The battle between the witches and nuns has gotten ugly right from the start, with bodies burning left and right implying a cruelty in both sides. It definitely feels like one of those games where we’ll be betrayed by what we believe in. Or at least it’s got me constantly speculating about it.

With some sharp-looking monsters, a tense and exciting battle system, and a world of secrets and religious intrigue, Minoria is looking like it will easily captivate me as I wander its gloomy, dangerous halls.

Steampunk Idle Spinner will have you putting together all manner of wondrous machines, steadily connecting them until they form an automated device that will have you raking in cash.

You won’t start off with something too complicated, though. With only a few bucks to your name, you’ll have to create some simple devices at first, often using finger swipes to keep these machines going. You’ll build money pretty slowly this way, but as you gain funds, you can add more devices to your setup. As you see how each of these devices can work in tandem with one another, you can steadily build them in a way that they’ll keep themselves running without your input.

Steampunk Idle Spinner continually pushes the player to see how many machines they can get running all at once, and how they can best set them up so that they all keep each other going. There are many, many different turbines, windmills, conveyors, and spinning wheels you can cobble together in your own way, steadily creating colossal factories that do your bidding without a touch. It’s in figuring these factories out that the game becomes truly compelling and interesting, creating appeal through having you continually reassess what you’ve built to see if you can improve it.

If you’ve ever marveled at the inner workings of some complex machine, Steampunk Idle Spinner will stir up those same feelings, and all while it prods you to see what wild devices you can make on your own.

Inspired by Maniac Mansion, The Castle will have you choosing three of seven possible goofy vampire-hunting oddballs in hopes of using their skills to root out evil.

A vampire has a town gripped with fear, but seven brave people are out to defeat it. This being a video game, though, only three of those people will be allowed to help. The others will be forced to fret on the vampire’s lawn, which I am told is quite useful in stymieing a vampire’s plans.

Each of these people have their own puzzle-solving adventure game powers, so you can make the game easier or harder depending on the party you set up. It might not be easy to know just who the best team is at first, though. Does the reporter work well with the vampire-hunting nun? How about the paranormal agent? Or maybe the clever student might come in handy? What about a gal who really likes vampire novels? It’s on you to figure out the team that works best for you, or laugh at how bad things get if you put together an awful crew.

Don’t get too worked up about character benefits and defects, as you can work your way to five different endings based on what you do. Some of these endings require some odd tasks, so it’ll be good to spend a lot of time messing around with the game. Just don’t agitate the guards too much or you’ll find yourself in a rough spot. Hopefully there’s a secret switch somewhere nearby…

You’re new to the town of McGuire, but maybe some new friends and some local intrigue could make you feel a bit more at home.

Shipping Out follows you on your move to a new school and town, capturing that fear and excitement that comes with being someplace you’ve never been to before. After you customize your own character and your parents, you’ll be free to go about your day taking classes, chatting with buddies, and exploring the coastal area around your home. There’s a lot to see, and it’s up to you how you want to take it in.

Beyond making new pals and seeing where you can get some decent food, there also seems to be a local mystery about who’s been stealing some things. You’re able to look into where these missing items have been going, as well as which shady figures might be behind it, with your friends, bonding over the shared adventure.

Shipping Out is a lovely take on the many conflicting feelings that come up from moving somewhere, and the dizzying feeling of finding someone you instantly click with when you go there. It’s a touching story of finding people who feel as if they’ve been with you for your entire life, and the sheer joy that can come from savoring the littlest moments shared with them.
