Halloween party ideas 2015

latenightdriver.png Late Night Driver is like a violent, vehicular version of Air Hockey, where the table is a stretch of dangerous highway devoid of dividing traffic lanes, and the pucks are unsuspecting cars you must use continually collide with to take out the most oncoming automobiles, without running into said oncoming traffic yourself.

It's as intense as it sounds.

I really enjoyed the visual effects of this game, the way red taillights and white headlights shine, tall and reflective, in the distance, and become more discernible the closer you get. It really resembled the look of a highway late at night... with added explosions.

The audio could've used some work. Nothing against the song itself, but after a couple playthroughs, I started to go crazy hearing that same riff over and over again. The sound effects, on the other hand, are sparse. There's a muted whirring that plays when you zoom by a car, the same sound that plays when you collide with and start ricocheting cars around the track, which is a bit of a disappointment.

That aside, the game is pretty fun. If you don't mind games that are a little rough around the edges, give Late Night Driver a try on Game Jolt.
