Halloween party ideas 2015

steelassault.gifHappy new year, everyone! Most of the games in today's trailer roundup are not out yet, unfortunately. The good news is that most of them are slated for release this year. Have a look and see some of what's coming up.

Adopted

Windows, Mac, Linux | $14.99 | Sometime 2016

From the developer: "Adopted is a 3D, single-player exploration game where you play as Luchador, a recently rescued Boston Terrier thrust into a world of complex human problems with only a few simple tools to solve them. Players will sniff to discover important clues and then bark, chew, and fetch to manipulate their humans to make smart choices, or not. Unlike games where fail states give players do-overs, Adopted asks you to investigate and influence the right people in the right moments to produce real-time consequences that affect future gameplay and storyline."

Duplicity

Android | Free (IAP) | Available now

Duplicity is an arcade game in which two balls are controlled simultaneously. The goal is to bring them together, avoiding obstacles as you go.

NightCry

??? | ??? | More info later in January

NightCry is the new name for Project Scissors, a spiritual successor to the Clock Tower series of horror games. It was originally announced at Tokyo Game Show 2014, and although they're still keeping details under wraps for now, this teaser has been made available. There doesn't seem to be a web page for it yet.

Paparazzi

Windows, Mac, PS4, Wii U | $TBA | February 2015

Paparazzi was an IndieCade 2014 selection. From the developer: "Paparazzi is a 2 player game of cat-and-mouse. The celebrity runs, dashes, and hides while the paparazzi tries to take constant photos of them. It's a simple yet competitive arcade-action game with a Where's Waldo feel. It's a test of focus and reflexes and a silly take on celebrity culture."

Red Goddess

Some new gameplay footage has been revealed for the platformer Red Goddess. Pass through the "madness rays" and the game's narrator will turn on you.

From the developer: "Starship Rubicon is a space shoot-em-up that modernizes the physics and mechanics of Asteroids combined with the ship modification and roguelike elements of FTL."

Steel Assault

Windows | $TBA | Release TBA | Kickstarter planned mid-January

This one is to be a retro-styled 2D action sidescroller. Its graphical inspirations come specifically from the late NES era.
