Ludum Dare 32's clock is ticking down, so you're swiftly running out of time to vote on all of the amazing, wild projects that have come out of it. Luckily, I have made it easy for you to find some awesome stuff already, bestowing upon you a pile of ten fun, goofy, and outright fantastic games for you to judge and vote on. Just get on it, as you only have a little over two days left to judge and vote!
Frazzle Dazzle
Windows, Web (Non-Unity) | Jam
When hair is in disarray and days are less than fabulous, some heroes rise to the challenge. Using a high-powered hair dryer in Frazzle Dazzle, help the distraught populace find their inner wow again and maybe dodge some spikes and evil snowmen while you're at it. I'm not 100% sure people should be worrying about hair when killer snowmen are about, but you can't deny how happy those people are once you fix their 'dos.
Spinnicus
Windows, Mac, Linux, Web (Unity) | Jam
Spinnicus combines a few of my favorite things: grappling hooks and throwing enemies. You have to face off against skeletons in gladiatorial combat, using a grappling hook to grab them and then hurl them back at each other. See how many you can hit all at once by kiting them properly and then letting fly a single, well-aimed bony projectile. Why are skeletons such jerks, anyway?
Monster Detective Agency
Windows, Mac, Linux, Web (Unity) | Jam
Monster City - it's rotten to the core, but there are a few decent horrific creatures still left wandering its dark streets. It's up to you to find them, get the facts, and then make some arrests before Mr Big's gang of thugs and thieves tears the broken city to pieces. Then again, you could also arrest everyone, just to be safe. The judicial system seems to be a little bit flawed in Monster City. If you think you've got the detective skills, give Monster Detective Agency a shot.
Ants
Web (Non-Unity) | Compo
Screwing with your friends is one of life's great joys, and it's the focus of Ants. You have a can of bug spray and a yard filled with ants, and you need to fire lines of the spray to corral and guide the ants over to your friend's sandwich to win. Karma can be a cruel mistress, though, and should you mess up and send the ants to your own sandwich, you'll lose, finding yourself despondent, sandwich-less, wandering the streets of your hometown wondering when life went so wrong.
Star Driller Ultra
Windows, Mac, Linux | Compo
I am not a fighter pilot, but I'm reasonably sure you shouldn't crash your plane into enemy ships to take them down. Maybe it works if you have a big drill on the front? I'm not sure, but that's just how things work in Star Driller Ultra. Lock on to your target, dodge the missiles, and then drill through your enemies in the neon-colored skies. Just don't be using that drill all the time, as it costs you fuel.
Crowd Control
Windows | Jam
A riot has broken out, and you've been given use of an experimental weapon to disperse the crowd. In Crowd Control, you can raise the fear, sadness, or rage of the people in the crowd and see how they react to it. In the best case, they disperse peacefully (although not necessarily happily), but more often than not, your toying with their emotions ends in a bloodbath. Silly, but also chilling.
Savior: On the Advantages of Unconventional Weaponry in Combating the Zombie Apocalypse
Windows, Mac, Linux, Web (Unity) | Compo
Let's just call it Savior, all right? In Savior, you're saving zombies for a change. They're milling around the facility where the cure is made, and you have to carefully sneak up on each zombie and inject them with the serum, hopefully saving them so they don't have to spend the rest of their undead existences feeling bad about eating your face.
Tourist Trap
Windows, Mac, Linux, Web (Unity) | Jam
Tourists are wandering the streets of Venice with their hard-earned cash, and you want that sweet, sweet coin flowing into your pizzeria. To get them there, you have to play some music, keeping up the notes and rhythm to get people to part with their money. You can also screw up on purpose to scare people away, should you choose. Will your pizzeria be king in Tourist Trap?
The Reviewer
Windows | Compo
The Reviewer is a fun parody/time management game of what it's like to review games. Having to balance real world responsibilities along with covering games, you'll often find that one aspect of your life suffers as you try to bolster the others. Should you just slap a rating on that game and get back to your homework, or do you really dig in, do your job right only to have your homework fall apart? Or should you just give up on both and putter around on Tweety? Now you can all enjoy the fun of being a hobbyist game journalist!
Flail Rider
Windows | Jam
You're driving a car. It has a huge ball and chain attached. You smash things with it. That's Flail Rider, and it's awesome. You can get power-ups to boost your speed and increase the size of the ball (flail), letting you cause even more mayhem in more effective ways. Once you get the hang of using a car to swing the flail around, this game is pure destructive joy.
AND HERE'S A BONUS 11TH GAME!
Ultra Hat Dimension
Windows | Jam
Our own Lena LeRay submitted Ultra Hat Dimension, a game of tricking your enemies using adorable hats. You need to wear the right ones to make your enemies think you're an ally while also confusing them into turning on each other. I have never once considered using headgear to face off against my arch-nemesis, but I'm game to try that out here.
