Have you seen Kung Fury yet? The short movie about a cop who learns kung fu because he got hit by lightning and bitten by a cobra at the same time? You may want to get on that. In the meantime, you can take Kung Fury's fighting skills out with you on your phone with a free download of Kung Fury: Street Rage. If you've ever wanted to beat up on a few thousand evil guys, robots, and nurses in some dirty alleyway to powerful eighties tunes, your time has come. Embrace the cobra and the lightning.

Kung Fury: Street Rage lets you attack to the left or right, and that's all you need to do to avenge your friend's death at the hands of Kung Führer (You really should go watch the movie. Seriously). Each attack gives you a little step in either direction, too, so it's not all about punching faces in. Sometimes you need to attack to get out of the way of some oncoming strike, or just to give yourself some breathing room. Smooth combos get you the high scores, though, so you'll want to lay seamless beatdowns without a miss. The problem is that you may need to miss on purpose to dodge an attack, and many of the game's various enemies require specific timing or numbers of hits to put down. You're judging where you need to be punching for the best score and to ensure your survival every second, so expect to quickly learn how hard it is to be a time traveling martial arts cop.

The presentation kills it, though. Screen effects, synth-heavy tracks, and explosive attacks will keep you going as you strive for the biggest, best body count. Hello There went all out, even designing screenshots and the game's box art as if it were released years ago and you'd only just found your rough, dog-eared copy the other day. Kung Fury: Street Rage is a pretty solid companion to the ridiculous movie, so it's about time you got out there and cleaned up the streets, past and present.

Kung Fury: Street Rage is available for free on the App Store and Google Play, and is available for $1.99 on Steam. For more information on the game and Hello There, you can head to the developer's site or follow them on Twitter.
