Soar through the skies, swim beneath the sea, and become any number of animal friends as you wander the lands of Fugl. Which you can now explore in VR!
Fugl doesn’t need you to fly through certain obstacles, collect feathers, or meet the right people to complete missions. It simply offers a variety of different biomes to freely explore, letting you swoop between treetops or feel the air’s rush between red canyon walls. You’re free to fly where you want, do what you like, and meet who you want, enjoying the natural world around you.
Fugl focuses on allowing you to find your own adventures and experiences, letting whim guide you. Still, there are some things that might catch your eye. There are several different animals you can meet on your journeys, which you can then morph into, experiencing the game from their perspective. Each animal offers its own movement and mechanics, so it really changes things when you shift to a new form. There are even some legendary animals wandering the world if you are hoping to find something truly special as you fly around.
The newly-released Oculus Rift version of the game takes the game’s calming exploration and lets you experience it in VR, allowing you to feel like you’re hurtling through valleys or roaming the colorful sea floor. It’s definitely a pleasant take on the dreams of flight that many of us have enjoyed. Except you get to be a colorful bird, too.
Fugl is available now on the Oculus Store and Steam Early Access.
