Halloween party ideas 2015

You need to guide a pair of characters through some dangerous mountains during dangerous times. Trouble is, most of your decisions will get you killed.

Wienne tasks you with leading Zack and title character Wienne through some deadly territory. Creatures mean to cause you harm, there’s dangers lying in the environment, and forces are moving against you. You’re not exactly equipped to deal with most of these problems, either, so if you make a single bad call, that is likely going to mean the demise of the poor pair.

Wienne aims to have you learn as you work your way through each potential path, though. What were the consequences of what you said and did on one run through the game? Did your plan pan out well, but with a single flaw? You have to examine your route through the game each time, looking for the mistakes you made so you can correct them next time. But were they mistakes? Or did they just lead up to a fatal flaw? The game continually asks you to weigh what you did, steadily unraveling the true path through the game.

These answers don’t come from specific story beats, either. The smallest decision on the path you walk might be the thing that caused your death. So, expect to spend a lot of time thinking about the safest way through things, seeing how these elements play out, and then working to put together that perfect run. Then you might have a shot at learning all about the dangerous world of Wienne.

Wienne is available now on Steam.
