One might think that working at a fast food drive-thru window would provide some measure of protection from angry customers who want to leap over the counter and do bad things to you, but that is apparently not the case.

WDTN-TV in Dayton, OH, reports that a presumably intoxicated customer at a local Wendy’s managed to pull an unfortunate employee through the window.

The details are vague, but it sounds like the customer was in his vehicle in the drive-thru line last night but wouldn’t budge — which would defeat the whole purpose of a “drive-thru” lane.

The man then went up to the window and somehow yanked the employee through the portal and began to hit him.

And it appears that police were able to arrest the assailant because he later returned to the scene of his idiocy. He now faces assault charges.

According to WDTN, the employee received cuts and bruises but will live to serve up Baconators another day.
