A cute robot, Rae, sets out to figure out why it has no programming in A Small Robot Story, a platformer that has just passed through Steam Greenlight. Rae's journey will take it through several worlds, finding the truth behind itself as it explores lands inspired by music the developer created years ago.
Rae's journey is drawn from music by the band Tomorrow is Forever, which developer BC Likes You! was a part of more than a decade ago. An album they had created told a story (which you can see in full here) and developed a setting, and A Small Robot Story takes place in that world.
A Small Robot Story is promising a detailed story of a robot finding the answers to its consciousness, and all while it shoots its way across several stages filled with angry robots, bitter wildlife, and buried secrets. You can get a sample of its play and sound now as well, as there's a demo available on Itch.io.
