Sorgina: A Tale of Witches is a game of a young witch using her magical powers against an evil force in her kingdom, doing so by solving puzzles on this charming, cute adventure game. Not only will you exercise your minds while helping out her people, you'll also learn a little bit about Basque Country, its real world places, and its folklore.
Sorgina: A Tale of Witches will have you exploring areas designed around real-world landmarks from this place in Northern Spain. There, they will meet creatures from Basque folklore like Mari, mother earth and queen of nature, gaining new abilities from each of these protectors that will help her solve the game's puzzles.
Over the course of the game, the young witch will be able to enlarge, reduce, move, freeze, or de-materialize objects in her way, and these abilities can be used in tandem to find creative ways around the game's puzzles. Each new power adds a further layer of complexity to each of the game's puzzles, and despite being aimed at kids, should still provide some fun puzzle-solving for all ages.
Sorgina: A Tale of Witches promises a delightful history lesson in a place I am only just now hearing about, offering a whole new folklore and mythology for players to get to know as they solve some puzzles and help out an adorable witch. Now THIS is how I like to learn new things.
Sorgina: A Tale of Witches is available for $9.99 on Steam. For more information on the game and developer Binary Soul, you can head to the game's site or follow them on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
