Halloween party ideas 2015

Some games have abstract puzzles to solve or bring you to worlds unlike your own. Others mimic real life, showing a basic, everyday thing and allowing the player to take part in something all-too familiar.

STAP is one such puzzle game, allowing the player to control busy roads and the cars that come through them in hopes of keeping the bustling traffic from crashing. Various roads come to a middle point, with cars needing to drive through. You’ll need to tap on cars to force them to stop so that there are no crashes in the intersection. The only issue with this is more cars keep coming down the main road, rear-ending the stopped vehicle.

This means that very fast decisions need to be made so that the cars do not end up crashing. As you progress, your little crossroads become much more challenging intersections, with more and more roads coming together. Stars start to appear, which can be collected for higher points, but the main goal is getting the required number of cars across their line, ending the level.

STAP has a very nice level select area as well, showcasing various buildings within the town.

STAP is a very simple concept done to a polished level. I was able to try out STAP for a while at the Google Play Indie Games Showcase, and did enjoy the fast-paced nature of keeping inattentive drivers from slamming into one another.

The open beta of STAP is available now on Google Play
