From the minds of Mutant Mudds comes a Metroid-style game called Xeodrifter, and its trailer is now available to be seen by all.
Xeodrifter looks like it's taking as much inspiration from Metroid as it is from its predecessor. You'll be exploring vast, uncharted alien worlds in some sort of biosuit while picking up powerups that increase your capabilities and ability to move around the world. However, you'll also be able to jump into the background of the environment and move around there as well.
The game is coming to the 3DS via the eShop, though a Wii U version is also possible. Keep your eye trained on the website for development blog updates every Monday until the game launches in the near future.
