Halloween party ideas 2015

Dying and spraying blood everywhere is usually a drag, but in Super Pig X, your bodily fluids will make dangerous hazards visible, making it easier to survive next time.

I’m not 100% sure what makes this pig super, as they can’t see where they’re going pretty much all the time, and they’re just as susceptible to saws, spikes, and other sharp objects as anyone else. The closest thing they have to a power is that they have a few lives to throw away instead of just one. Although this brings up some unsettling existential questions about whether it is the same pig in each body. Are you the same if your personality is in another body? Is it still you? SOMA and Super Pig X ask these difficult questions.

Super Pig X

Dying has a useful effect on the environments, as it paints over the traps and ground with your seemingly-luminescent blood. So, if you die to something sharp one time, in theory you’ll be able to see it and avoid it next time. If you run out of lives, though, you’ll just have to try to remember where the saw blade was and hop over it next time. There’s a limit to how much you can color your path, so you may want to work on some memorization.

Super Pig X isn’t shy about how challenging it is, aiming to frustrate and anger its players with its hard levels and limited lives. If you enjoy screaming at your monitor, barnyard animals, and unsettling questions about your existence, it’s got you covered.

Super Pig X is available now on Steam.
