Bright Memory sees you helping out Sheila after an office mix-up sends her to an island filled with monsters. Nothing a little sword and gunplay can’t deal with, hopefully.
Sheila’s office is admittedly kinda unique. She’s with the SRO (Supernatural Science Research Organization), working as an agent to help with research and deal with the unfortunate side effects of working with the occult. One of these problems happens to be a pair of relic swords that bring the dead back to life. Still, that’s not the biggest issue, as there’s a terrorist organization that’s out to steal the SRO’s secrets (the swords among them). While they’re trying to rob you, Sheila accidentally sets off a transporter that takes everyone to a floating island filled dead monsters. That suddenly revive because of your magic sword. Oops.
Sheila’s more than capable of handling the problem, though, so long as you are. She’s capable with firearms, swords, and a grappling cable that can yank an enemy in so you can get real friendly with them. You can combine all of these tools (and a multitude of different guns) to form your own combos and take advantage of the environments. Sheila’s pretty acrobatic, too, so feel free to live out your action movie fantasies on those jerk terrorists who screwed up your day.
Bright Memory is still in Early Access, but there’s still a ton of action to be found against its variety of monsters and foot soldiers. May as well enjoy yourself, seeing as you’re probably gonna get chewed out at work for messing with transporters once you get back to the office.
