Halloween party ideas 2015

After spending some time on Greenlight, Pixeljam's weird, starchy platformer Potatoman Seeks the Troof finally has a Steam page of its own.

Potatoman Seeks the Troof has all the quirk and character of its developer Pixeljam's other games, such as Glorkian Warrior and Dino Run, with about ten times the challenge. In it, you play the eponymous Potatoman on a quest for enlightenment. What that means for a tiny sentient potato isn't clear, but what is certain is that the journey there is not easy.

It's actually kind of nonsensical.

The platforming in this game is not only tough, it's unfair. Precision and timing take on whole new meanings when the perils you face are structured more like bullet hell-style chaos, rather than clear-cut barriers from point A to point B.

Mastering Potatoman is about adapting to the rhythm and motion of the world around you, moreso than trying to steadily navigate a single character through an unambiguous obstacle course, as you would in a game like Super Meat Boy. It's hard to get into specifics without spoiling some of the surprises.

Grab Potatoman Seeks the Troof on Steam for Windows and Mac. It costs $3.99.

Also, be sure to check out its live action trailer below. It might be the best and weirdest game trailer I've ever seen.
