The days gone by of saloons and standoffs have passed in the present, but Depraved lets players revisit those dangerous times to cultivate a town of their own. Facing off against bandits, vermin, and even your own residents, this city builder challenges you to build a thriving town against all odds.
You start off as just a fella and his carriage, looking to find a place called home. From these tiny beginnings, you'll travel the procedurally generated world looking for a cozy spot to stake your claim. You'll be given just the resources out of your carriage to start with, and it'll be up to you to harvest what food and items you need from the surrounding nature. You'll need to supply your residents with food, water, and comfort (warmth, clothing) in order to keep them happy.
The residents are kind of picky if you run out of their preferred food, too; they'll eat another type, but they won't be happy about it. Unhappy residents are the key to danger in Depraved, especially in the lawless wild west. Your own townsfolk can start to do raids, commit crimes, and generally cause trouble as they become unhappy. So, keep them fed, watered, and give them a fire during harsh winters. Otherwise, you may have to start stocking more guns just to keep your town intact.
