How To Enable Market in Bluestacks(The Customized Way)
Hi there, you may have experienced the lack of android market in the alpha version of BlueStacks which is available to download at the official website (http://www.bluestacks.com/)
Here is our way to fix those errors (if any) and get market enabled with some pre-installed apps from our side. Below are the instructions for doing that :-
- Goto your task manager in windows (achieved by pressing ctrl + shift + esc keys, and selecting "Start Task Manager")
- Close any processes with prefix "HD-" , as shown in image.
- Close the task manager and in your seach-bar type "services.msc", as shown in image, and open it.
- Now in the window that pops up (Services window), locate "BlueStacks Android Service" and stop it by right clicking and selecting "stop", as shown in image.
- Now, press win (windows key) + r and type in "%ProgramData%\BlueStacks\Android" as shown in figure and press enter (carriage return)
- Create a new folder within that directory named "BACKUP"
- Put the following files in that folder into the new folder you just created called "BACKUP"
- Data.fs
- Root.fs
- SDCard.fs
- Now go open the file that you downloaded from us (provided at the bottom). Open the folder named "predone bluestacks fs". Now drag and drop those files in that folder into the directory "%ProgramData%\BlueStacks\Android" from step 5 (NOT into the BACKUP folder you just created.)
- Now copy the Bluestacks Launcher shortcut (provided by us in the file) to the desktop
- Now open the shortcut you just copyied over and tada, you've the requested market installed with some other apps. Open the market and sign in with your google account to validate it.
