Halloween party ideas 2015

revolver360.jpg Revolver 360 RE:ACTOR from Japanese developer Cross Eaglet looks like a regular 2d scrolling shooter at first, but it has an interesting mechanic. The playing field can be rotated towards or away from the player, making the enemies, bullets, and other objects on the screen seem to collapse into a line as the 2D plane on which they exist becomes flat from the viewer's perspective.

This dynamic environmental manipulation, from which the player's ship seems to be exempt, allows for the player to dodge impossible waves of bullets or line enemies up for quick kill. It also hides and reveals things that might be lurking out of view. Combined with branching paths, Revolver 360 RE:ACTOR is set up for exploratory fun and replay value. The video below shows the game in action, and unlike the version previously shown in a trailer roundup here on IndieGames, its text descriptions of the game's features are in English.

Although its been available for some time via Playism, Revolver 360 RE:ACTOR is now available on Steam. It's 30% off the regular price of $9.99 until October 31 in both stores to celebrate the Steam launch. The game is for Windows only.
