A collaborative effort between game studio ArtonCode and the creators of Loondon, Winterflame: The Other Side is an upcoming physics-based platformer which is set in the popular Vandaria Saga universe. Drawing inspiration from an award-winning fantasy novel (Vandaria Saga: Winterflame), the game tells the story of a young boy named Lev who is looking for his lost love in a forbidden forest.
Throughout the five chapters of Winterflame: TOS, players will get to visit distinctively unique locations with names such as The Forest, The Ruins, The Heights, The Waterarc and The Cradle. Though alone and obviously unprepared for the journey, he will soon discover a strange gauntlet which bestows him with magical abilities. The gauntlet's role in this adventure is more than just a weapon; in time, Lev can use it to cocoon himself in a magical bubble for protection, or grow a vine-like root to use as a grappling hook or to pull objects closer.
Artoncode is now two weeks into their fundraising campaign for the development of Winterflame, and they've put out a demo recently for everyone to try out on their Kickstarter page. According to the developers, Winterflame: The Other Side is currently scheduled for a Windows and Mac release sometime in March 2016.
