Pavilion seems to have taken a scenic route through the land of development over the last few years. I saw it on an iPad at the first BitSummit, but this year at Tokyo Game Show they were showing the game on PlayStation 4. Now Visiontrick has announced that the first half of the game will release on PC (Windows, Mac, and Linux) this year, with the second half to follow in 2016.
For those unfamiliar with Pavilion, it's a wordless puzzle adventure game with painted surrealist environments and atmospheric audio. In it, the player can't control the main character directly. Instead, the player must manipulate the environment to move him from place to place, leveraging things like his fear of the dark and obstacles that can be moved around. The game's story is told through short cutscenes and imagery along the way.
No release date has been announced for the PS4 and PS Vita versions. Visiontrick is currently seeking votes on Steam Greenlight.
