You surf on a missile and use a harpoon to rip limbs off of giant space monsters in Blacksea Odyssey. If that doesn't pique your interest, then I don't know what will. The top-down shmup has just released an alpha demo on the game's site for players who want to get a sense of how dangerous the huge monsters in the game are and how the harpoon works. While featuring some regular shmup gameplay, the harpoon is used to tear pieces off of the huge bosses you're facing, removing teeth and claws as well as breaking down armor, giving each fight layers as you strip away defenses. In Blacksea Odyssey, you don't just shoot a boss weak point - you tear the boss to shreds.
And again, cyborg surfing on a missile in space.
