Last Horizon was an utterly unexpected surprise. It came out of the blue and is just beautiful. It's Lunar Lander enriched and turned into a magical, minimalist, physics-driven space exploration game. It's an elegant, excellently paced, procedurally generated journey of survival by the developers of the frantic Dino Run DX. It's an arcade game at heart that tells an epic sci-fi story and it definitely is a distant and slightly older cousin to Atari ST classic Oids. Oh, and, yes, it's highly recommended too.
