Our list of recommendations continues while the Steam Summer Sale keeps ravaging our poor wallets. Make sure to add some of the following indie treasures to your shopping cart, and feel free to add your own suggestions in the comments!

Solstice
MoaCube | PC, Mac

Have you always wanted to solve mysteries within the safety of a domed city in a barren, icy wasteland? Get to know exotic, well-written characters, who all have something to hide? You just have to play the gorgeous Solstice, MoaCube's second visual novel with amazing production values and engaging, mature writing, then. Thematically, it might be better suited for colder days, but we can recommend it all the same.

Dungeon of the Endless
AMPLITUDE Studios | PC, Mac

Sitting very comfortably in a niche somewhere between roguelike, tower defense, and real-time multiplayer squad tactics, Dungeon of the Endless is the perfect introduction to Amplitude's Endless franchise. Explore dungeons and try to carry your energy source down to the next level while the dungeon's rather unfriendly denizens rush in from all sides! The game was released a while ago, but it has aged remarkably well because there's still nothing quite like it out there. Great, frantic fun.

seraph-1.jpg

Seraph
Dreadbit | PC

Featuring some ridiculously intense gun fu battles and a dynamic difficulty that adapts to your way of playing, Seraph is an action platformer not to be missed. The fact that your character aims her guns automatically lets you fully concentrate on swooshing through the levels, dodging incoming fire, and making this look like some kind of explodey ballet performance. The game's still in early access, but it's already extremely polished and one hell of a good time.

telepathtactics-1.jpg

Telepath Tactics
Sinister Design | PC

Telepath Tactics is a turn-based strategy game, cast in the same mold as Nintendo's beloved Fire Emblem series, but with a slight steampunk twist. Catering to experienced players, it certainly doesn't hold back. The enemy AI is merciless and your units might die for good if you don't plan your moves carefully. The game truly is a gem, and fans of the genre should definitely sink their teeth into its lengthy campaign.

DeathRayManta-1.jpg

Death Ray Manta SE
The Future of Videogames | PC

I heard you like lasers? Have some of Death Ray Manta's colorful, explodey delights, then. Be a fish! Shoot everything! Don't die! Repeat! It's flashy and simple, and it makes me happy, and sometimes, that's all I really want from videogames. It's also cheap as chips, so there's really no reason not to get yourself some DRM (never gets old, does it?) and flash some lights in your face.
