A lonely Wum (which seems kind of like a sentient marshmallow) has lost its home. Luckily, it's got a friend in you, and you can help it use its charm and wit to make even more pals in the the adorable world of Wuppo.
And maybe you'll want to bring all those friends along with you to fight some monsters, too, as the dangers in this cute land seem to skew toward the colossal size.
The cute puffball will stumble across all kinds of strange, wondrous creatures while looking for its new home. Some of those are friendly and may help you by donating a handy bucket for your squishy head, while others might be more inclined to come crashing down on that noggin instead. You can fire back with some various weapons, though, or some witty dialogue in some cases. Either way, you have the means to deal with the danger you meet along the way.
Still, it may be hard to focus on your foes when everything is just so cute. From the creatures to the monsters to the locations, they all have a charming look, creating a sense of joy and wonder even while a screen-sized beast is trying to devour you whole. While it does look like a solid sidescrolling action RPG, it's Wuppo's Seuss-like terminology and delightful world that will draw you in and make you want to stay there.
Wuppo is available for $14.99 on Steam and GOG. For more information on the game and developer Knuist & Perzik, you can head to the developer's site or follow them on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
