Jimmy’s fear of clowns isn’t content to just be something that scares him. It aims to be the thing that frightens him the most, and will beat up all his other fears to take that crown in Fearmonium.
This incarnation of Jimmy’s fear has set out into his thoughts and memories, wandering his mind as it lays beatdowns on the other personifications of his fears. You’ll have to help this mallet-wielding clown as it moves through a variety of visions and surreal places, taking on the manifestations of things Jimmy has seen in the real world.
From what can be seen, Jimmy has a wide variety of fears. Wizards with hands-y beards. Skeletons in the park. Evil playing cards. Women in bathtubs. Sinister ice cream trucks. I’m not sure if they’re all his fears, but his mind has twisted them all into enemies for you to fight in various setpiece battles and through your explorations of his mind. It really seems like the poor guy is in rough shape.
If you can get your own fear of clowns under wraps, maybe you can help these colorful characters clobber their way through the hierarchy of fears all the way to the top? Although I wonder what effect that will have on our already-terrified Jimmy. Will having just one major fear be better, or will seeing clowns suddenly send him screaming for the hills?
