The retro inspired exploratory platformer, Odallus: The Dark Call is currently offering Beta access to the game with preorders until Sunday through their Humble Widget or the Humble Store. Studio JoyMasher is expected to announce the full release date soon.
The studio behind Oniken is currently running beta testing on their newest title, which is inspired by classics like Castlevania and Demon's Crest. Promising large levels and a wide variety of enemies to encounter, the Beta is currently lacking ending cutscenes and a veteran mode, so preordering will provide you with a mostly complete game.
The game has some detailed, well animated sprites, and it has enemies to fight of all sorts of designs and sizes to challenge retro gaming fans. With sounds and music that will strike a nostalgic chord, Odallus looks like it's going to resonate well with fans of those classic eight and sixteen bit titles.
