Halloween party ideas 2015

Mailman Tim might just have the most important job of all: delivering a letter to the evil warlock, letting him know that the people actually like him. A peace offering, if you will, for the warlock is about to rain down death and destruction on the world. This would be a cakewalk if not for the 100 rooms Tim has to traverse, and his life is running out...

You see, in The Warlock's Tower, each single step drains your life force, sapping one hitpoint whenever you move. And you only have three of those! Thankfully, picking up coins replenishes your life (or, to be more precise, it turns your life into the coin value), but this still forces you to think very carefully where you tread.

The simple Gameboy aesthetic is certainly deceiving, as the game's puzzles can be devious. It doesn't take long before enemies are added to the mix, such as the zombie, who takes a step towards you for every three steps you take. Further elements like levers and keys turn this game into a major challenge before you know it.

There are also co-op stages where you have to control two characters and Twitch integration, which lets your audience help you solve these diabolical puzzles. That's a whole lot of good stuff for a game that looks like it should be played on a teeny tiny screen!

The Warlock's Tower will be out later today on Steam and the Humble Store. For more information, visit the game's website or follow developer Midipixel on Twitter.
