Rhythm game Muse Dash has us beating up woodland creatures to the beat in this week’s IGP First Look. Flying cats WILL NOT interrupt our rocking out.
Muse Dash features a selection of upbeat tracks for you to thump critters to, having you defending two lanes by hitting a button to attack in each lane. Creatures will come to you to the beat, and you’ll need to fend these adorable beasts off. This simplicity made it very approachable for a certain person who is not very good at rhythm games. Not that it doesn’t offer challenge, as you can push yourself on higher difficulties if you’re more comfortable with the genre.
The game does get a bit repetitive with its stages, although its cute designs and enemies within those stages make for a colorful, vibrant game. With a wide selection of characters that change how the game plays, a bunch of tracks, and various difficulty levels, it’s looking like a solid rhythm game. Although it can get a bit racier than one might expect for such a cutesy game.
Muse Dash is available now on the Nintendo Switch, Steam, the App Store, and Google Play.
