The MAlay Mail melaporkan Ahmad Bashah dikejarkan ke Pusat Perubatan Kedah (KMC) sejurus pengsan dan dimasukkan ke Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU) sekitar 7.30 malam.
Difahamkan, beliau sepatutnya mempengerusikan mesyuarat jentera Umno Kedah yang akan dihantar membantu kempen PRK Kuala Kangsar yang dijadual berlangsung pada 7.00 malam.
Bagaimanapun keadaan beliau tidak serius namun ditahan di ICU untuk pemeriksaan lanjut.
KUALA LUMPUR, June 4 — Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah is currently warded at the intensive care unit in an Alor Setar hospital after he collapsed earlier this evening.
The Star Online cited an anonymous source saying the 65-year-old was in a meeting with state Umno leaders who were to hit the campaign trail in Kuala Kangsar, Perak for the June 18 by-election.
“He arrived at KMC at about 7.30pm, and he had attended the meeting at the Grand Alora Hotel at about 7pm,” the news portal cited the source as saying.
