Hitpoint Games' quirky little dungeon crawler Hashtag Dungeon has recently been released on Steam. Think Binding of Isaac with a coat of extra pixel paint in a generic fantasy setting and you're pretty close. Explore the level and vanquish your foes, which eventually opens up a portal to the boss monster. Defeat this guy and congrats, you're done, good luck on your next run. With your loot, you can unlock a bunch of different characters and other perks for use in future endeavors. It's pretty fun and probably a worthy way to spend your lunch break.
While the game's lo-fi charms are enough for a quick fix of dungeon crawling, the main feature is its Twitter-based method of dungeon creation. Every dungeon in the game is made by players and published to Twitter. A built-in dungeon editor lets every player contribute to already published levels, further shaping everyone's experience. This part could certainly use some more documentation, but figuring stuff out can be pretty entertaining, too. If all of that sounds too complicated, you can still try to climb the horde mode leaderboards for ultimate lunch break bragging rights.
Hashtag Dungeon is available on itch.io ($7) and Steam ($7.99). For more information on the game and developer Hitpoint Games, you can head to the game's website or follow them on Twitter.
